Early Life and Education of Princess Sirindhorn

Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, or simply Princess Sirindhorn, was born on April 2, 1955, in Bangkok, Thailand. She is the second daughter of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit and the younger sister of King Maha Vajiralongkorn.

The princess attended primary school in Bangkok and went on to receive secondary education at Chitralada School. She then went on to study at the Faculty of Arts and Science at Chulalongkorn University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history in 1976. She continued her education abroad, studying at the Faculty of Arts and Letters at the University of Paris IV-Sorbonne, where she received a master's degree in history in 1978. She later earned a Ph.D. in educational development at Srinakharinwirot University in Thailand.
